Historical Newsletter of SCS: July 1953 John McLeod opened the eighth Simulation Council Meeting by calling on the host , Don Leggett, to tell about the relationship between their digital and their analog equipment. Don explained that Douglas-Santa Monica has one computing installation divided into digital and analog groups. The digital group consists of an IBM 604 with reproducers and sorters, considered a very powerful tool a few years ago. They also have an IBM CPC and a 701, or Defense Calculator. [...] |
